Dominique Bivar Segurado, MA.
Inspired by coastline erosion, my creative practice aims to capture the essential geological qualities unique to landscapes such as the Jurassic Coastline, Dorset. Using kiln fired clay, each hand-cut and sculpted piece is created to capture the specific nature of such long-term geological activity. This has also extended to using the material perspex. In short, to act as an artistic reminder of the effects natural decay has on a geological mass.
The pieces become an opportunity for the viewer to engage once more with nature, often in an urban setting.
The artworks are commissioned, exhibited, purchased nationally and internationally for private clients, hotels, interior design agencies, bespoke apartments, design shows and galleries. Please do make contact if you wish to discuss a potential project.
